Been through a lot of engines, Detroit, Cat, Case, Perkins, John Deere, Cummins is our favorite. Mitsubishi is good too. I would not be too worried about fuel consumption, we have always found Cat to use much more fuel than Cummins.

Are Franklins easy to find parts and service for? I have never seen one. Personally I am done buying machinery that is not John Deere.
