Today I learned the name of the deceased woman that I pulled from the wrecked mini van. Kinda puts it in a different perspective now. Maybe not appropriate? It was the first fatal wreck I have been called to. Still thinking about it.

Makes sense. I would suppose scavengers would not be pleasant to eat. They dynamite roosting trees in the mid west to protect waterfowl hatching areas from the crows. Black rain of feathers coming down. I protect my songbirds from such birds with great fury, I suppose it is silly to kill one...

Kinda like the story of the two gentlemen who lost legs in the civil war. One guy lost his right leg, the other guy lost his left. Both were a size nine. Every year they bough a pair of shoes. Not sure if it is true of not, but I like it.

Yes, the fat vegetarians I witnessed dumping gallons of dressing on their entrees were decidedly NOT loggers, or productive members of society either! Your salad sounds good. We have a hard time getting any good produce this far north, not to mention good olive oil. I have had good olive...

Well, maybe not you Stig. I got drug to a vegetarian restaurant one time when visiting my sister in the most "cultured" city in the state. I could not get over how much ranch dressing was being consumed. Must have gone through gallons each night. Seemed to kinda negate the whole "healthy"...

Thanks for the tip Leon. I was just at the NRCS office Tuesday. Putting in a 22000 foot pipeline and planting a bunch of grass. I will be stopping a lot in the next few months and will ask them about a green house.

I have not developed a taste for avocado. Cant grow em here anyway. I am kinda going into nutty survival mode, I plan to grow a big garden this year and teach my self how to can meat and vegetables. I am also looking on the internet for root cellar plans. We are going to fatten some hogs...
