I still have a "new posts" tab here: I did notice the unread post counter in the upper right is gone.

On my testing from my phone it seemed to be only if it was "reffered" from that google search app, and only once or so per day. I think that's why it seemed to be such an isolated issue.

Sorry about that. When I disabled one of the plug-ins that happened. A shot of adrenaline went through my spine as I clicked "enable" and then all was good.
