When the drives installed etc in the new servers I will hopefully have the DL count for the .325 050 chain build off. Till then we will be down 3-5days
You going to enter that chain build off too?
Here is your round filed work chain in PS3. Enjoyed seeing new ideas there. ;)

So you think you can round or square file pretty good do ya? :P
Round 3 of the chain build off is in gear and we are going to do .325 050 chain this time.
That way it is little different and for all of us to learn from.
Since we have done full 3/8 in past 2 builds 3ci and open already.
All...

Doing a chain build off on the Chainsaw Repair website. Doing it a little different being we have done 3/8 full to death in different class sizes. Doing 3/8LP Picco chain. http://chainsawrepair.createaforum.com/chain/chain-build-off-5237/
Wont be testing on that saw with 3/8LP set up now. Guy bought it today.
Sold the PP365 60cc, 3450 60cc, 3450 54cc. Man knows the good stuff for firewood cutting. ;)
There is a reason full 3/8 is used on 49cc under 3 cube racesaws. It is faster. I just wonder on a stock saw if 60cc will be to much for it to show no gains over full 3/8. I am betting the full 3/8's will out cut.
Now if it was on a stock 45cc I would lean toward the picco 3/8LP chain as I...
I made a loop of PS3 3/8LP picco for a stock 60cc to compare to full 3/8 for chits. Wish I had a good cant so I could get consistent wood. Will try with logs I have on hand.
White GB bar full 3/8 70dl, orange GB bar picco 68dl with 6T. 68 to short with 7T so went 70DL and tad long. 69dl with...
I have more chains tested that day in same wood and saw if needed to compare. In thread link but can copy paste them here.
To think about it. Think I have video of each chain and cut.
Stihl 63PS3 7.31 and 7.56
Oregon VXL 10.03 and 9.41
Times were taken on a 8x8 aspen cant. Clean as can be for unbiased strait cuts without knots etc on same saw. 35cc stock PP3516
PS PS3 round chisel cutter OEM and can be square filed if you like. Fastest cutting picco 3/8LP chain out there.
Thread where I got PS3 in 2011 before even my local stihl dealers. http://chainsawrepair.createaforum.com/chain/picco-38lp-round-chisel-cutter-chain/
