Yes. For a few cuts for play and not for working all day. We do the same thing to saws GTG racing. Lean them out a tad. Fatten them back up for working.

If I go any fatter on H she is 4 stroking. You know the sound is with a pipe right wounding tight? I think I was pulling it off the pipe though, pushing to hard in the cut. I'm done playing now, back to muffler for work.

She sounds cool but still just a mild work saw in the cut. Cutting what appears to be 11" round marbled maple. Square work chain. 8T rim sprocket. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/KdAeF8mxlxY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Just goofing off alittle today with a mild ported 70.7cc work saw. Yes a pipe makes any saw sound great. Seemed to cut real good too. Will do more later.

You better get your old and new style 372's then. Because it wont be long and the autotune versions of the (I call it) 572xp will be on ya. Been out on the test market with cutters since last year that I know of. ;)

Tuck did you see that 372 440 445 test I did? That 372 I built was super strong and I really thought it would or might even out cut the DP muffler modded 440 I built even though the muffler on the 372 was stock still, just screen pulled. What surprised me was the completely stock rebuilt poulan...

You run what you got even if the saw isnt up to other 372's (it was a turd from new). Ask cory it happens. He didnt have to tell me but he did. I didnt have to tell you but I did too. Would you rather think the 372 got it's azz handed to it and not know any difference . ;)

Mitch done this test when 562 1st came out. Husqvarna Stihl MS361 vs 562XP vs 372XP vs MS440 chainsaw To be honest with you, he told me this 372 had always been a dog in the cuts. Just one of those ones that didnt run for chit. <iframe width="560" height="315"...

I'm not a fan of the 262 myself. But some swear by them for a firewood cutting saw (cult following IMO). I ran my like new 262xp and poulan 3750 back to back in the woods cutting up hardwoods one day and me and the other cutter both preferred the poulan 3750 over the 262.

Unless it ends up like a 540 and drags on and on and on. There is a new autotune version of the replacement for 372's being tested. I'm calling it 572. Dealers demoing and them folks testing talking it up big time..

Not me. That would be Willard and others that own them. I only tested a regular carb version at one of my gtg's when they were new out. What I remember is, heavier then my old 372's, but felt stronger in the cut with longer bars. Cant remember if it was 28 32 36 ran that day. No long term...
