I do multiple rope sets as well, but rarely more than two. Every tree is different and you just have to wrap your mind around what is going to work best for you.
FWIW, I try, when doing this type of redirect, not to do more then 5. Friction is he'll to get the rope out after that many redirects through crotches.
Petzl works good, had the Macro.
Gibbs is just plain good. And you can get spare parts. Petzl I replaced the cable spring a couple times and then weed whacked line. Gibbs is an actual spring.
Wash, rinse, repeat.
Often, the rope bag comes with me if there are going to be a lot of limbs stripped that could trap the rope. SRT hybrid is the way to go. Hitchhiker is the easiest transition for climber that are more old school.
My climb line serves as my second that offers a bail option in case. Only had to use the in case once due to a wasp nest. Sure was a great option at the time.
