    You could install a cable operated throttle/idle speed adjuster on your dash. Old trucks I remember had them. A choke cable kit could probably be adapted.

    Another trick you might try is to bring up the revs a bit and let off just as you are turning it off. Worth a try.

    They used to used a dashpot or solenoid to stop that problem. What engine do you have?
