    Ours is a flat loop of a local park, sandy gravel underfoot. 5.5 laps. Varied landscape so at least it's visually interesting. The backpacks are all one size M/L,so for me I can't cinch it up as tight as I would like, the weight is water bladders inside. A vest would be way better!

    Being short, the pack test is a bit more difficult as I don't have a long stride. I chuff like a train going around the loop they set for us. Head down, arms pumping, legs a blur (well, bit of an exaggeration), like a mini steam train. It's worth it though.

    No BS. It's called the 'Arduous Pack Test' I have to do 3miles in 45 minutes with 33lbs. I get a reduction in weight to carry because I weigh less than 148lbs. Those over 148 have to carry 45lbs . And you are not allowed to run. Arduous is a very descriptive word. I've done it three times now...
