Bump....THUMP! The big dead pine is history! It went down today. I admit to not doing the felling cuts, the stump was too high for me to safely and effectively weild a 660 with a 3' bar...and even with that the cutter had to double cut it. The joy of big machinery, they had a track excavator...

PM Burnham... Two 4' poles here will cost me about $95 plus shipping, I inquired at Wesspur as the whole unit was only $119 but shipping the long poles was too expensive. On the balance getting the poles locally is a bit cheaper than sourcing them from anywhere overseas myself. Just managing...

Well I did some work for a friend yesterday...three blackwoods and a casuarina that had to have the canopies cut out and then felled the sticks... Oh dear, you could tell I haven't done any felling for a while...although I blame the one on unfamiliarity with a new species to me...Blackwood...

How about, climb the tree tie the starter cord to a branch then drop it... My saws run pretty well for being tuned by a girl, all that porty sporty stuff is for the guys to make themselves feel...maybe I should stop digging now, because one day I might want someone to hook up my saws:D
