According to the info I've heard any 201T made after Feb 2014 already has the upgrade . If it runs good already it might not be worth the effort . On the other hand if it were Aussie prices of 50 bucks you really don't have much to lose.

I bought a great big mower yesterday from the Stihl dealer I do business with,Toro 54" zero turn . When he delivered it yesterday afternoon in conversation I mentioned the 201 up grade .His supplier is in Cincinnati and one of the largest in the USA .He'd never heard of it .

On the 200's I've seen several carbs .Fact Tom has a fixed main jet but that's on an 020T .Although they bad mouth those carbs that rascal runs pretty darned good . The carb I got from Eddie is the latest accellerator pump model .That souped 200T has never ran so good . I still contend it...

So is it a rejetted carb, larger fuel chamber maybe ? Nobody really said .I only assumed it to be a offset milled flywheel to advance the timing . Unless possibley they some how in some way defeated the fresh air transfer charge or at least decreased a portion of it . I'd like to know myself...

I'm not certain if I mentioned the fact that Toms' saw was one of the earlier models .Butch evidently must have a later model and thusly has had no problems with it . Makes you wonder what they did but didn't bother to tell people .Just recently in the news GM tried to cover up the bad...

That is probabley as close as that company or any company for that matter admitting they screwed up .If the 50 dollar deal holds out in North America that is far cheaper than the individual parts would sell for .I wouldn't doubt however if even at 50 bucks there isn't a tad bit of profit in it...

Not really .I work in an auto engine plant .The engines today as oppossed to say 25-30 years ago are light years more advanced . Of course the average shade tree mechanic can't work on them .Then again you don't have to . Who knows perhaps these modern saws might the same given enough time...

It would not hold 16 thou in the wood .My modified 200T free revs at 15.6 but it certainly can't hold it under load .I don't tune with a tach but I need a good tach just for things like measuring speed in the cut which is where it counts .RPM's in the air is just noise .

You can't even buy the carb for 50 bucks .Now I can't help but wonder with obviously an advance keyed into the flywheel if the magnets align with a non rev limited coil. If they are going to sell this kit in Australia I'd bet they soon will in North America . Another thing dawned on me .I...

So in speculation perhaps the flywheel has been offset forward to advance the timing ?
