    120' becoming too short

I have 150 and a shorter 50. I use a Milwaukee tool bag that a large saw/drill set came in. Works great. I need a bull rope now! I love gear and sure this will never end... My wife says I am obsessed. But the below around the house is much nicer now!

    Spellfeller's Continuing (Mis)Adventures Aloft

I will add this small piece of advice. Where you have the straps hooked to each otherr, add a few wraps of electrical tape to hold them together if you get any slack during the felling process. Learned that years ago , I always wrap my hooks( if they do not have latches) with a wrap of tape to...

What Did Ya'll Have For Dinner Tonight?

    Circle of death

Spinoff from my other thread. Besides wrapping the trunk or other methods for lanyards, let's talk about the first cut. Taking the top out. Seems that would be where to start... Went through all my books and they talk about the different felling cuts and cuts for working down the spar. Bit none...

    Gaff question.

Fully loaded with gear I am 250-260. Little heavy for some of those spurs. Since this is more of a "recreational Arborist" endeavor, I just need to be comfortable for about an hour or so. I did some adjusting to the pads and straps and we took down 2 trees today. Basically just gaffed up about...

Cinching climbing line while on Gaffs?

Very good question! Tree splitting below the cut? If you are spiked in and on the flip line?
