I'll put on hearing protection of it starts to rain hard while driving, or if i'm going long distances on a particularly rough interstate highway.

    Tree felling vids

While trying to find what prompted me to think Stig doesn't use earplugs I found an entertaining bit of thread and a great video (on the next page) by August with some nice steering at 2:50. Tree felling vids - https://www.masterblasterhome.com/threads/tree-felling-vids.11368/post-771585

I thought you liked to hear the trees and avoided protection. I don't feel my Hearos plugs all day after a few minutes.

I'll rotate out the plugs and muffs. I don't use big muffs because they are too heavy/bulky and uncomfortable. The smaller ones are bad enough, but then plugs do bother my ears after a few weeks. It seems like my ear canals start to enlarge making the plugs not fit as tightly, plus it gets...

    How'd it go today?

Sugar & borax water on saucers helps get rid of ants. It draws them in, they drink it, and die in a few hours. Hopefully they take some back for the queen. I think it's 15-30% borax, the rest sugar, and dissolve it in warm water.

It's a good thing he had enough air to outlast it. I was thinking he should wrap his legs around it to avoid being ripped apart by the death roll, and that is what he did.

Explosively Dead Removal - Rig Or Bomb Out?

I think I used to say add 20% to the price if it is going to shatter when it hits the ground. That's easily 2-3hrs extra raking time.

Maybe a post of Facebook could let people know that sorry, your phone broke, and please contact via ____ if I was supposed to do work for you, just in case they check in there.

Crap That's what I call impossible technology, and it is so fragile. Easy to break, and impossible to fix unless the factory spends a year on it. A notepad would have survived that. Maybe a good data recovery specialist can salvage the chip and extract the info. I looked into it because I had...

    Exposed roots

Not exclusively. I really think many trees would tolerate it. I can't remember what varieties I've seen do that, but they weren't ficus. Possibly hackberry or osage.

    Exposed roots

Lots of trees do that and live a long time. I've seen trees with all the dirt washed out from around and under the stump just leaving the live tree suspended by its roots.

    Echo 355T

I haven't modded many 355's, so i cant comment much. Their design doesn't leave a lot of room for improvement, and that's not saying that they are that good to start with. Redesigning the air filter box with an aftermarket kit would probably help a lot.
