    How'd it go today?

Thats enough to just swap it with a different make, what sick bastards would come up with something like that!? There's probably a redneck way too, if you got the keeper ring out or destroyed you could pull it, or maybe just cut the other end and weld it back up when you're done or something. I...

    How'd it go today?

It could be, hard to see on my phone. I would clean it out and check, but if it's not i bet it's a threaded cap.

    How'd it go today?

I would clean it out really good, blow it out really good with an air compressor, but what it looks like to me is that's a threaded ring holding it in place. If so then bleed the pressure and take the lines off, and then see if you can tap that around with a screwdriver (or something that fits...

It looks like you can get a spanner wrench in the end of the cylinder, that's how you get welded ones opened. Def get a cheater lens, I'm only 41 and been using one for a couple years now, in tight spots I got to where i can't get my head far enough away to see it, it all just becomes a blur...

@CurSedVoyce Try smaller whips, aka less movement if you can. With 7018 and 6013 you should be able to drag the rod on the metal, flux gently resting on it, and with enough drag angle that the slag and molten metal flows back behind you and keeps the rod lit. You can also hover right above too...

Just got home from a shutdown at a small power plant, swapped out a welded valve. Work tomorrow too at a different location, should be a nice weekend.

@CurSedVoyce it never ceases to amaze me how dry and dusty it is where you're at! I managed to get the first terrace cleaned up of ivy, and i should be able to use the backhoe on the other 2 levels because they don't have anything the wife wants to save. I stood up funny while i was doing it...

Warren zevon is amazing, i could see your disappointment. That's what they play on the radio, and that's not his good stuff imo. It's popular because it's catchy but the radio stuff is almost never the good stuff, and that's true for a bunch of artists. The offspring were the kings of this, they...

    How'd it go today?

Yeah his early stuff was great, and he's pretty good live (pre trump days is when i saw him). His history of rock and kid rock stuff albums are still in regular rotation on my playlist.

I hear you on that, the honey do list is never ending. Been doing car/ truck maintenence, waiting on an igniter to fix mom's dryer, and a bunch of other stuff that had to get done. Tomorrow I'm pulling all the poison ivy and other weeds out of the flower beds, fun lol. We did some hot taps...

I guess the problem with most solder joints with bigger wire is not getting the solder to the middle of the wire, so crimping is usually preferred. That said i solder most of my stuff, but am crimping curious :/:. I've soldered battery connections and welding ones and never had a problem myself...

Figured out the wheel sensor, it probably got snagged on a stick or something and pulled out slightly. The clip was still there so i just bent it back and it's good now. Love it when it's cheap lol

    How'd it go today?

They absolutely do it on purpose, and just so their dealers can make more money. It's honestly become a game of redneck and hacker vs big corporations, and it's being litigated and legislated as we speak (been going on years now). Basically the design is done so the parts have a set time frame...

I like the chain vise grips, they work really well. I also have a little crappy chain tong that is used with a 1/2" drive, those are really handy too and can get into deeper spots. That sucks tho man, and why I'm the only one who touches my stuff, life's too short to fix other people's stupid shit.

    How'd it go today?

Nah, the retainer clip that holds it on rusted away, so i gotta strip it down enough to see what i can do. Realized i always rent a puller or build one and then loose it, so i built one that i can use a bottle jack with (among other things, been needing to build one for awhile). So since that's...
