    milling thread

I've been tumbling this idea around in my head. Wondering if there is a simpler and/ or more portable set up that comes to anyone's mind that works similarly.

    Logging Choker cables

What do you mean by 'kicker'? I've heard a snipe or obtuse snipe called a 'kicker' as it kicks the trajectory of the falling tree at the last second.

    Logging Choker cables

I don't recall the slang of it, but choking to roll a log as it is skid lengthwise is a useful trick, every once in a while.

    The Joke/Funny Pic/Video Thread

In HS, working at a restaurant, a night time delivery driver was a day time plumber. He tried to blow the grease traps out with CO2. Really worked, but it blew sewage up like a ceiling hitting fountain through the floor drain in the office!

Can you cut the hinge with the bar on an angle, rather that horizontal, fitting the power head into the facecut. The powerhead would be up and bar tip would be down, maybe 10⁰ or so.

    Stahl's logging supplies

My local Stihl shop robo-sharpens and dresses takers for under/ about $10/ loop. Maybe a better deal for a bucket of chain. I never have them sharpen for me. I told a customer about it. They asked if I wanted their new, cheapo grinder. I use it for rocked chains, with a round file-...

    Official Random Fact/Random Thought Thread!

I have a bolt-on swivel caster for my chipper tongue for the rare need. Using slightly/ somewhat above- horizontal redirects might help. Don't dump it over backwards if the tongue is light.

Plugs or muffs for low noise. Plus and muffs for high noise. I used to really prefer Silencio molded silicone ear plugs from Madsen's. Haven't been able to find them, online.
