It's not even like they're shaving a few seconds off each time; they're taking huge chunks of time. I feel this is a long way from over.....

All performance quibbles aside, my biggest gripe with the RW is just how clunky it always felt. I can concede that it tends better or that it's smoother on limb walks, but all that is moot if I don't like the look and operation of the device. And for me the RW felt like it was always in the way...
The whole slack tending thing is the most overrated hooey I ever hear. The HH tends just fine if you have it set up right.
The RW is just in the way ALL THE TIME. Plus the wrench still creates a bunch of drag when you go to move the hitch. I've tried the RW three times and have disliked it...
You forgot to add in the cost of removing the mature tree you've been pruning for 40 years, which would likely be more than the cost of removing it 40 years ago (say $3500 as opposed to $2500 to remove now). So over a 40-year cycle the customer is now invested $5500 in to your prune first...
