It was recommended by the mills tax attorney. He said being a part time deal that is how he would go to start out. Give it a few years and if needed make changes later. I'm not a tax guy by any means so I took his word on it. He said there is a lot less bs operating as an llc vs s-corp. I can still do my taxes as an s-corp which is good, and I just don't want any of my personal crap takin from me. I'll have to read up on it. I was given a book on business structure llc vs s-corp. I'll see what it tells me.

He may go for that. There is a slight chance lol. The next time I have one I'll see if he will give it a go. Took your advice Sean. Started the inc. process a few weeks ago. Now I'm just waiting on the state to get all their crap in order. DS ARBOR LLC. Hopefully I'll get my stuff back by the end of the year.

lol I donno if he would go for it. I'd have to find another harness. He is 6'2" about 250. Not much on heights either. From today+a box elder not pictured. A little racking tomorrow and set up to grind stumps on New Years weekend.

Killed my old trailer ramps with our excavator. So I made some new ones. The one on the left doesn't fit in it's slot on the trailer . Ticked...they are to heavy to have to tote around. May have to do a little grinding to get it to go. I hope anyway.

There is a guy near hear that still does it that way. Makes a descent living at it too. The very small outfits are gaining a little popularity around here anyway. The big outfits (like ours) makes a place look terrible. The horse guy can get in and out without hardly telling he has been there.

I've always wondered/worried a critter would tear something up if I left it overnight. Would. Be nice tho on stuff that's a pain to get lines set into. I'll just invest in more throw line and weights. Leave it looking like a spider web over night.

Never left anything other than a throw line/ weights overnight. I'm assuming that's a bad idea. Any input? Stories?

Thanks Nick! I was 99% sure that was probably the case. Just saddens me to have to deal with the local guys. Most don't have a clue what I'm talking about. May have to give the Oregon chains a shot again

Started on 2 maples today. One large branch out of each that was tearing up shingles every spring and a hackberry that came all he way down. All 3 trees are garbage. Branches were awful once I got in them to check them out. The trees are on my dads place. Behind his neighbors house. Nearly doing them for free but it got me out of xmas shopping so that's worth a ton lol. Luckily a nice big hickory behind and in the middle of all three gave me a great tip for all 3

My trailer is rated for 10k that's with the weight of the trailer. I added nearly 1500 when I made a dump trailer out of it. So I can actually only haul around 4500 lbs. if I had to do it again I would go ahead and spring for a 14k trailer at the least. I did haul our small excavator to the last job I did. Trailer weight of 5500ish plus 12500 for the excavator was a hell of a load for my 1/2 ton truck. 18K pounds 25 total for truck trailer and load. My truck is only rated to tow 9500 I think. It pulled and stopped just as good if not better than my dads 3/4 duramax. The air bag helper springs and good tires made all the difference. I wouldn't dare do that on a regular basis tho. Or any long distance.
