Liked it a lot. And I agree with the lame boss/climber comment. Just need to be careful that they don't get it to easy or they don't wanna do it when you have to.

I like it and I agree on overcoming side dominance. Took me a long time. My only question is on your reference to file sizes. I thought 7/32" was reserved for .404 chain and 13/64" was for 3/8 pitch

I agree. I'm also learning how to teach. I've got a good one trying to learn from me. He asks a lot of questions and seems to ask at mostly the right times. I only really stop him from certain things when I see a high risk for injury or property damage. If something goes a bit wrong we go over it and I add what I think he could do better. He actually took his first top out the other day while on Spurs. Nervous as a cat. Another good thing is he seems to know when it's crunch time and I need to take over to meet production.

Yup. The paper was out earlier. Gas company's pr and legal pulled us out to get a better plan. A lot of bullshit can happen with a camera rolling. Along with creative editing. Dotting the i's and crossing t's. Also we're now going to redefine the ROW with temporary fencing much more signage over the full width of the ROW, not just our 20' maintenance corridor. Oh and I guess I have to sit through a class on how I'm allowed to react to people when approached and verbally assaulted. I guess when the camera man basically called me a pussy for packing up, I'm not allowed to ask him to turn off his camera and find out how wrong he could be.

We received an email notifying us to stay off of those 3properties until further notice. The legal team has been brought back in. Apparently when you've already lost in court it gives you the right to call in the vultures to tell how you're being bullied. F-ing entitled ( lots of expletives)people who just think about themselves and never thought to look at a deed when they bought the property. I almost hope that line blows tonight in that woman's yard ( we have not quite made it to her property). There is 1600 psi of compressed natural gas in those lines and they were replaced in 1955. In 1955 it was farmland. Wanna guess why there are trees growing on it? That's right, the farmer stayed off of it and it became a fencerow. When the allotment was established, any guess as to why they made that the back lot lines? Maybe to build as many houses as possible with out having to relocate or change the elevation of the lines because that would cost the developer money. http://www.wkyc.com/mb/news/jackson-township-fight-to-stop-tree-cutting-/425963283 Of course the fact that it is being federally mandated isn't making the news.

Bucket truck was set up in a technically non approved fashion because of grades. Although I deem it safe, big brother may not. It was also a very tight work area and we were undermanned.

Channel 3 showed up at lunch so the gas company's PR shut us down. Problem is I have rigging set up in the tree and a knot in my rigging line. Wondering if I should just climb it as the regs on booms are much stricter.

Jim I'm glad she's ok. I'm also hoping that the scene when Mongo punches the horse (Blazing Saddles) didn't happen to the calf. Slept for almost 12 hours last night and my lower back decided to give me fits all day today. I've been pounding down water all day hoping I'm just a bit dehydrated. I did manage to get a few things done though. Dropped most of my personal saws off at a good friend's house to be gone through and given a couple of tweaks. I also managed to tear apart one of the four wheelers and almost have it back together. I was hoping for a decent week but got a call saying that I was gonna be sent out to help out another company that doesn't appear to be able to make their deadline. A few days of hustle for my boss and a few more days doing a favor for the gas company. Friday is my last day for this years big push. I'm disappearing with the family for an extended weekend after that. I need the break.

I can do a quick touch up in less time than I can swap a chain out. Mostly because if I remove the bar I gotta clean and dress it.

That wouldn't fly here either. With very few exceptions, my kids use Mrs. (Ms.) and Mr. XYZ when addressing adults.

Good luck jay. Hopefully I captured the bad luck for the day. Sitting at the urgent care because I took a nice swing and lost track of my foot placement. Buried my left spur into my right heel. Doesn't hurt much but I need to get a tetanus shot. Kinda mad at myself at the moment. Boots are no longer waterproof.

I'm going to see the original treemek in action soon. I honestly can't wait but am also a bit saddened. I'm approaching the big 4-0 and need to back off on the physical side a bit but not sure I want to let go yet.

I don't get to do many conifer prunes(never) but when I set a line I try to be close to the stem and get the down line as close as possible with at least a whole wrap on the way down. Funny to read this as I had to do it twice today. Removals of course.
