Isn't garlic a pretty hardy plant? Not that my small family garden is even close to what you're doing, but I've had 8" sprouts completely covered in snow. I was told that it doesn't care what the winter is like. I can understand a little about it pushing up , but mine has sprouted by now. Good watch on that returning to eden. I'll be viewing it again paying better attention

Is the bottle of wine to help with the taste Jim? Just messing with you. We had tacos. Kids seem to put them away well so might as well have them more often.

Preaching to the choir Jim. I'm the same way. When I go shopping we don't go back to the store for weeks. When I grab the last gallon of milk that means we're out.

That's great August! Hard to believe it's been nine months. Heck I'm still claiming my wife is lying that it's been six months for mine. Oh, now I'm in a moment of terror. Mine could be mobile soon. Nothing is safe after that!

I like that. Quick and lightweight. Definitely easy to untie. Another one to mess with on my own and keep in the bag. Thank you for posting this.

Work more than sleep Sean. 10-12 hours at work, 5-6 days a week. Spend almost every minute with the kids till they go to bed and then get cleaned up and ready for the next round. Probably not healthy but I'm good at it. ;) Timber mats I had hauled in this morning. 16-20' long , 4' wide, bolted together 8x8's. Heavy bastids.

Look at what I got sent out to do Our guy got it stuck. But not like that. Boss called up one of local excavating companies to help out. You can see what that got us. So I was called in to work today. 10 hours,3 machines, and some big ass cables later it was sitting high and dry. Going in tomorrow to pull our timber mats and clean things up a bit. :X

A rock in the chipper sucks. You replace blades. A rock with a combine and dry crops is bad news. One hell of a grass fire plus a whole bunch of fuel in the combine. Plus all the oils and diesel fuel

I spoke load and slowly to a stihl rep the other day. I was at the dealer trying to understand why I was waiting two weeks to get my parts. New policies doubled the order size for the dealer to get the shipping breaks. Of course I was also in a fairly bad mood because the tech showed me the scoring in my cylinder on my 461. Time for a rebuild I'm sure if I was a man of Jim's stature, my opinion would be taken more seriously.

Well they just called and a snap ring broke allowing the axle to slide out. All cost are covered plus a bit for the inconvenience or just to try and keep my business. Either way, I'm a bit relieved

Wife called me just before noon to let me know that the minivan made a loud bang and won't go anywhere. I'm hoping that something let lose on the axle I just paid to have replaced and not the transmission. I'm kinda pissed off and going out to clean out my Tahoe so we can fit the family in it again till the mini gets fixed. I'm also gonna stomp around angrily tossing firewood into a stack for a few hours. Grrrr.

Water went down by four feet on my ditch project. In the mid 50's today so now it's mud asshole deep. Calling for two inches of rain tomorrow so it looks like a shop day. O joyous day

Good stuff. I remember you posting some pics of that before. Well at least I think so. Anyway, good way to think about customers, yourself, and your company. Even though your a very confident man, you got to admit that dropping that spar was a "puckering" experience.

No varment relocation in Ohio so not live traps. They're edible but I'm gonna take the trappers word on that. The trapper said he's eaten a lot of beaver. Some good some bad. He's getting a bit long in the tooth so I'm guessing he didn't see the humor in what he was saying.

Cory believe it or not it's the owner as the only salesman. The residential side he does have his brother estimating a bit more but he still deals with the more high profile or more complicated ones. He's also hit it in a sweet time with the gas company and the local municipalities. On this ditch job the trapper caught the male and female (60&50 lbs) and a bunch of younger ones. I tore out the dam and "hut" today. The "hut" was at least 20 yards of material. The project also got extended another 1500 feet to take care of anymore problems downstream. Nothing but fun. I heard a rumor I was gonna get that new Rayco forestry mower to take care of a lot of it. Kind of a bit excited.

Dang Dave, I know of six am but I can't recall much before five am. That's nuts. Went into work an hour early to go over some things with the boss and try to get both of us caught up on what the other has been up to. Told him he needs to take a few days to relax and prepare for my next list of equipment I believe we should be buying. Not major equipment, just upgrades and replacing things X 4 for all the crews to have the same gear. Let's just say if it gets approval I might add a couple of loop runners to hit a new high dollar amount just to mess with him. Then I sat my ass in the excavator for ten hours chipping trees on another county ditch job. Had two guys felling and they would've buried me if I didn't need them to drive trucks as well. Tomorrow I need to set the temporary bridge and go rip out the beaver dam and hut. The little critters were well on their way to creating a new lake. There is almost a six foot difference in water (ice) elevation from one side to the other. Oh well, off to bed.
