Not in the chipper. At least I hope not. Had a new carabiner attached to it!

Sorry my water bottle stays on my hip whether climbing, bucket work , or on the ground. Well almost always. I've been searching for it for a week now. I must have set it somewhere.

Keep safe Stephan. Scary stuff fire can be. Jim the air gets cooler when accelerating and while sitting at an idle I'll get a slight vibration after it gets to operating temp. I've got either a wheel bearing or abs sensor going bad also. She needs a little work but will hopefully last for another 100k. Gotta make it last. Might have to cross the country sooner or later with it

Had a good day. Did a bunch of removals while being reminded not to cross the property lines with even a leaf. Since you guys are on wrenching. I've got it in my head that the fan clutch is not working properly on my Tahoe. Am I correct in thinking that after getting up to operating temp and shutting it off I should feel resistance when I go to turn it? A spring inside heats up and causes it to engage right?

Glad your enjoying the rodeo Jim. I spent to many hours replacing brake lines on my Tahoe. One blown one turned into two. Replaced those and popped a third while bleeding. Looking at it, knowing I had to remove what I had just done, I said f- it and replaced all of them. I'm tired and I stink horribly. At least I got something accomplished on a complete wash out day.

For scientific experiments obviously. Daniel I hope you figure something out in this that no one else can see. Me personally, I think you're a bit nuts, but I'm an in the box kinda guy.

The first words outta my mouth when I saw that snapping turtle in my drive a few weeks ago were "turtle soup tonight!" Kids got a bit upset so I showed him off and put him on the bank. I really don't know how to cook them but google would've told me how.

I've used injections for poultry but nothing else and that was for deep frying. Looks great by the way Justin. I'm hungry again

Jim you wouldn't be trying to entice someone to comment on that would you? Rattlers are very rare here. Like I've only seen one and someone shot it. I don't have much appreciation for snakes of any sort but I'm trying to be better about that. I show them to my kids and put them along the creek bank unharmed now.

What Justin said. I prefer to replace them if I see them weeping or really worn. I won't cancel the day but I'll at least get a replacement line and do it after work or in the morning. That's just me on my equipment. My boss on the other hand waits for them to blow and make a mess.

Give it a shot Brian. I agree that one should know how to sharpen with out a crutch but when dealing with people who are there to collect a paycheck it works great.

Well let's just say the block is about a mile square. Somewhere in between your "block" and a city block.

Wish I would find time to learn splicing. Take a couple wraps on the cleat and lock it off like you would on a port-a-wrap. It won't slip that way.

Ribs, brisket, sausage, and a dozen flavors of wings tonight at the annual street party. To much food to name and I ate more than I should have. I was so full I almost couldn't drink beer!

Amsteel will work good for that Sean. I'm not sure how it holds up to the sun though. The problem with a steel cable is the splinters. I set up a brand new out of the box zip line kit last week end while camping and was bit a few times. Had a good day working. Did a silver maple reduction this morning. Not my favorite thing to do but it was either I did it or the local ladder high guy would've made it a hat rack. 15'-20' out of a 80' silver maple weed isn't terrible. Looked dang good and the home owner was thrilled with the results. Then went and removed about 60 alianthis (tree of heaven) this afternoon. Vile weeds! All small. Around 30 ' tall and only counted 7growth rings on them. Going back next week for 7 large dead ash at the same house. Came home and fell asleep trying to get the baby to nap. Woke up just in time to walk up for the fireworks at our yearly street party. Cops showed up cause someone complained. The guy hosting the party have them each a big to go container of food and one for the caller. Funny thing is, the police chief lives next door and was present at the party. We all have our guesses to who complained but we will leave it alone. It was a beautiful day.

I gotta keep lean and mean. That and light beer means you can drink twice as much. Right?
