Yes. No one was at the base of the tree when he barber chaired it. As long as there was no risk of damage, it's a harmless experiment. Strange, but harmless

I've never had a problem with them either although I might need to replace the one on my 1250 bc so I can sell the thing.

Nice. I need to experiment with that a bit more as well. I recognize the poison ivy, but what was the other climb line?

It was a decent sized plate Butch. And yes a little to much to drink. This wasn't dinner but a good sized amount to top ice cream with for dessert

Did you get it down Al? If not, how important is it to leave the spar standing? You've gotta be only an hour or so away from me. I could come out on a Sunday to give you a hand with it

Hey Sam, in your picture with the anchor plate, I'm wondering about the anchor sling. In my mind I would want a thimble of some sort on it. Seems that the sharp bend radius of the plate would eat up that tenex or amsteel. After you get some time on it let us know if it shows wear. Beautiful MA set up

Wife and I went out last night. Celebrating several things and decided to splurge on a 30 ounce porterhouse for two. So melt in my mouth good! Grilled asparagus, onions, and sweet corn tonight with some left over sloppyjoes.

Ok, besides the ugly notch, please enlighten us on the cuts to the sap wood. I may have missed it but I'm still confused as to when it became an urban legend. back to the original post. Why were you not using the comms? I remember you posting before on miscommunication with the skid steer operator and smashing another tree or something like that.

Well sir, why did you put cuts on the sides and what is up with the tapered hinge? I know you have an article written some years ago about the tapered hinge but it doesn't tend to work on maples very well. Nipping the sap wood when felling from ground level tells me that the person making the cut is unsure of where level is. The sapwood holds better than the center, so why cut it out and then use a tapered hinge? Face of the notch is a bit sloppy as well but that's a very minor detail. Industry standard? We're way beyond all that aren't we?

Nice looking bike. Our company outing is just my crew plus the mechanic when we've had a rough week and decide the boss owes us lunch. I got a call last week from a friend that owes me a small amount of money. He told me he didn't forget, just had had a lot going on. I said no problem and agreed that he had more important things to deal with. But he tells me he will catch up to me over the weekend. He also tells me that he's selling his truck and camper. I said I'm interested and I'll be up Sunday. No returned phone call or text yesterday. I'm a bit agitated now. And my job today is at an apartment complex where no one answers the doors until you set up behind a vehicle and they then want out:X. Looking forward to some afterwork customizing of my trailer.

This about sums up what was caught today. A couple of rock bass, which are a great fight for their size and especially for a 7 and 5 year old. I'd like to point out the Treestuff and teufulberger buffs they are wearing. In a couple years these to youngsters might be asking for sponsors.

I've used them as rentals. They seemed a nice machine. I was impressed that it completely filled a 30 yard chip box and I fed it with the skid loader. What engine? How many hours? And how used Sean? Rayco is a great company but I don't know how their service is out that far

No pics, but I did pretty good on the grill tonight with pork chops and asparagus for 15 people. We had two chops left over and they will be diced up tomorrow morning and mixed with some hot salsa to pour over some eggs. Eating at sun up to head over and try to catch dinner for tomorrow. We brought a large amount of burger as back up.
