Jim, I agree there is a dilemma/conflict between urban and rural laws and regulations, a classic example is how most folks in Illinois have to live by the law of CHICAGO, which is very different from the rest of that state. Be thankful you're not in that boat, it may be harder to have so many guns. I can't think of a good example off hand but I bet it goes the other way too.
I think that too many people view the government as some sort of parent figure. I always hear about the part of America that was"left behind" and that I should feel bad for all of the coal miners and steel workers who lost their jobs. Well, I don't! If you cannot adapt you will perish, simple as that. Blaming the government for the world moving on without you is just sorry in my opinion.
