Adrian is a driven , hard working man. I've worked along side him a couple of times now and I know that his future is bright. I'm proud of you bro, me and you have almost the same footprints in life so far. Keep up the good work and you won't regret it. Learn the paperwork end as soon as possible, I learned it years ago, but never wanted to mess with it. Now I can't avoid it any more, t is slacking on it, so I swapped my bud schedule with him for paperwork instead. That trailer will be fine, even if you put more than 24k on it the truck and trailer will be fine. Our 20' gooseneck with 5' dove tail probably weighs 7k empty, kubota is close to 9,500 wet, and the Carlton is over 6k, plus a 100 gallon off road tank on that truck, tool boxes, tools, ice chest, saw gas etc. All things considered, congrats on stepping up in life and leading instead of just "making it"

And butch, I always said that shit about hand signals only. Bought the smh-10's anyway. I've heard more comments since then on our level of professionalism because I don't even have to look at the crane op any more. Just say what I need. Plus I have two free hands, I can hold a limb with one, choke the tree with my other hand and a choker and still tell the op what I need. And we can talk all day about whatever, or just turn it off and make it quiet and someone can buzz in If they need you.

Yeah, a few friend have been on me lately to start wearing either chaps or chainsaw protective pants. I think I'll go with the latter.

I know that if dad leaves the ac off in his rent house for a week of its uninhibited, it will start to mold. You've gotta keep that moisture out! It's work for certain

Big time. I worked up closer to butch a few days last week, and the humidity was lower as it was a couple or degrees cooler but it felt like night and day just to get two hours further from the coast.

And working in 45 below sounds insane! The coldest that I've ever seen was about 3 years ago it stayed 18 for 3 days. Nobody went outside. We called off work. Hell, it didn't even freeze here last "winter"

I'd probably get a lot less done if we didn't have ac to cool down for at least a short time

Butch. Have you worked with adjustable friction savers , with a split tail setup, on a slick pine spar, you can kick back and relax and get off of your spikes. I learned that last year, and I switched from logger boots with steel shanks to be able to do spar work, now I wear hiking boots with composite shanks and they are more comfortable.

I have to say, Adrian told me to call Paul and order the sena headsets. Me and a buddy set them up in some petzl vertex vent helmets with the muffs. All is hidden, crystal clear, batteries last and it's all great. Awesome idea Paul , and it's a quality set for any type of work. We do mostly crane work and for blind crane work it makes me wonder why I used to even fool with walkies.

I have the fondest place in my heart for the old 372's but I've heard too much that bothers me about husky lately. We recently switched to stihl, but still run older huskys. I haven't used a 576, but I didn't like the older 575. My next 70cc class saw will be an ms461, and I'm still a husky man at heart

That's strange. I prefer .325 on my 346xp's and my ms261's as I've felt that it out cut the 3/8 by a bit

I drink and drive, keep It under 5 beers and I'm good. But the damn MADD is trying to Make a 1 beer limit in Louisiana which will stop that. And yes, I know it's dumb. I don't wear a seatbelt either. Dads brother died driving drunk.

I have an 066 that needs a rebuild. I've done small saw work, but I'm no small engine mechanic. Who builds a smokin 066 that will hang with my 395?

Kubota dealer that carries their mini excavators and wheel loaders nick. I have 2 kubota wheel loaders. And kubota diesels on 2 nifty lifts, and it's the same key on all of them. They have them behind the counter.

Haha! Nice one. Dad said today that he thought those old poulan saws would only run about 7600-8k rpm until they blow. I've always used husky but I don't hate stihl. I honestly don't know jack shit about Poulans except for the old super 25
