I always use both chokes when starting, then flip them both off and crack the throttle. Maybe buy a whole new carb?

I think I've heard about soaking pieces in antifreeze or something similar... Supposed to drive out the water and bond to the wood. Can't remember where I heard that

Does throwing a 4x4 down at the pivot point count/work well enough to secure the bed? That's what I've seen mechanics do, but I also need to do some work on a dump bed. How would you recommend securing@

Well, my unpatented idea is for sale at Treestuff right now, for whatever that's worth. Wouldn't have minded acknowledgement or a little something...

Not anymore. At one time it was the best lumber around. Super rot resistant, made amazing siding, fence posts, foundation sills, framing material, furniture.... Cory, the chestnut made up fully 1/4 of all trees through the Appalachian range, more common than oak as you say

That's a fun use for an older SCBA tank. When full, those bottles hold 45 cu ft of air, like a 3x3x5 box. Should be a lot of APTA charges per tank. Have you asked a SCUBA shop about having it filled? similar procedure IIRC. Missed most of this thread, is that a homemade APTA?

ruel started a thread Swiss Logging in MBTV
Saw this cool video of some Swiss loggers the other day. I thought their little woods camp was delightful, sort of reminded me of stories I've heard about old Maine logging camps. Moving logs by river was made illegal here 40 years ago, the last log drive was in 1976. Any euro folks know if this is standard practice? <iframe src="https://player.vimeo.com/video/248072306" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen></iframe> <p><a href="https://vimeo.com/248072306">INS HOLZ (IN THE WOODS)</a> from <a href="https://vimeo.com/mythenfilm">mythenfilm</a> on <a href="https://vimeo.com">Vimeo</a>.</p>

I smashed my toe with a log for the first time yesterday. Log on feed chute when customer comes up to help feed some brush, I get distracted and log lands on my rubber boot. Could barely put on my shoe this morning. Moral of story, tell customers to keep 100 feet away Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk

Jed replied to a thread August Hunicke Videos in MBTV
Man, Butch... Yeah... that guy was hilarious for at least two reasons 1) Looks like he's made quite a study of August's "barely awake," neurological disposition/tuff-guy, "I don't really care," demeanor. 2) He's so delightedly busy with Hard-Hat Safety Awareness. It's as if he really thinks that a death in the nursing home in adult diapers really beats a hard knock on the skull doing something glorious. August: That freakin ROCKED though... Yer a pretty talented dude, man... perticularly liked the little, "Ohhh, yeahhhh," segment. That Califoria dude seems like a pretty cool dude. Thanks man. Man, you probably hear this a lot, but you could seriously be, like a major Hollywood dude if you wanted to. I've got a feeling that you've made the better choice. ;)

  1. Oh.... Thanks then Steve. That was a bewildering weekend for me for other reasons. I apologize for spacing-out. Any chance you'll make it to Zip-fest? We plan to go.
  2. Nope, not me Jed. I met you at the get together at Indian Henry.
  3. Pete:

I grew up in the Midwest, (Minnesota, South Dakota) but we (my wife and nine-year-old daughter) live in the East Puget Sound area in Issaquah, WA--near Seattle. Cool place. Rains incessantly nine months of the year, but grows really beautiful, tall, straight-grained Firs.
  4. Idaho is great. Lots to do for someone who lives outside. Where abouts are you from Jed?
  5. Hey... does anyone out there ever have troubles with gunning sights giving inaccurate reads? What do you do? (Stihl MS 440, 32")
