Kevin, the law has nothing to do with being right or wrong...or fair...it is a business for profit and a political tool. The largest number of "crimes" are actually civil infractions that end up carrying criminal penalties... quasi-criminal proceedings reap huge profits for lawyers and the courts, usually at the expense of the less wealthy...it's a far larger problem than a few deportations if you want to get pissed about the law not being fair... As Brian has stated, we all live with our choices and the guy made his for many years.

Bob, law & order are a simple byproduct of law enforcement...but then you know that...

We are a nation built on laws under a new "law and order" administration...he broke the law...simple. Personal situations mean little...the goal here is being able to report large numbers of deportations.

Nice Butch! Back home tonight 'til Wed afternoon for work at the course. Judging from the amount of early campers, and money brought in so far at the gate, it might be a big crowd this year. Everything went pretty smooth setting things up this weekend.:)

Sam's not there Jay, he's booked in CO, or I would. Been packing stuff today. Haven't decided if I want to rush out of here around noon after work or wait until evening rush hour is over with...being Friday any time of day or night is about as dangerous on the roads, but traffic would be lighter at 4am. Guess I'll play it by ear and go when it feels right.:|:

I'll be spending the next two weekends + volunteering here (have to be home to work Mon & Wed) for the Fourth year now. I grew up going to this festival with many friends who did also. Oldest continuous music festival of any kind in Michigan. I have an awesome time working my butt off and helping my old friend and ex-bandmate who took over as promotor. I'll spend a few days running a Bobcat; moving picnic tables, traffic control pylons, and vendor wagons, filling dips in roads, setting up day parking, and then I'll switch to tractor each morning for trash pick-up, cruise in a ATV or golf cart giving folks rides between the stage and the campground, etc. Somewhere I have to fit in a few hours of practice with some friends I will do a show with in about 6 weeks...They have me playing fiddle...and it's a fiddler's convention...I've much work to do. Then the Sat of the festival I play a show in OH about 2hrs from the festival...two sets and then back up to the festival to hopefully set back for a bit (or take a nap)...going to be a very busy 10 days.

I remember the first household in our neighborhood getting a color TV...any guess where all us kids visited to watch cartoons on at morning? Attaching old playing cards onto fender struts on our bikes so they would click against the spokes when the wheel turned. Plenty of kids got hurt trying to run those new plastic sleds with no runners down our regular hills in the woods. Party lines on the phone. The start of bussing kids to different schools. Nailing things by hand points & condenser real people for information and operator on the phone waiting for an expected personal letter to come catching crawfish in the creek The dislike of having to put shoes on to go someplace with my parents during the summer Dad singing
