Miss Beatrice, the church organist, was in her eighties and had never been married. She was admired for sweetness and kindness to all. One afternoon the pastor came to call on her and she showed him into her quaint sitting room. She invited him to have a seat while she prepared tea. As he sat facing her old pump organ, the young minister noticed a cut-glass bowl sitting on top of it. The bowl was filled with water. In the water floated, of all things, a condom! When she returned with tea and scones, they began to chat. The pastor tried to stifle his curiosity about the bowl of water and its strange floater, but soon it got the better of him and he could no longer resist. "Miss Beatrice", he said, "I wonder if you would tell me about this?" pointing to the bowl. "Oh, yes" she replied, "isn't it wonderful? I was walking through the park a few months ago and I found this little package on the ground. The directions said to place it on the organ, keep it wet and that it would prevent the spread of disease. Do you know I haven't had the flu all winter!"

"I have a bloody nose" - a British person emphasizing the fact that he has a nose. A man walks into a bar with a slab of asphalt under his arm and says, "A beer please, and one for the road!"

I'm heading out for a vocal practice today with two of the band guys. I think we picked up three festival jobs in OH this Summer (just negotiating prices). been getting together with a couple other musicians, closer to home, just to jam & work on things lately also. Might be a little busier this year than the last few...I hope...

Bass player gets hammered at the big gig. Next morning he stumbles downstairs and his wife is at the stove. Burner's cranking, she has his sock in a frying pan and is turning it with a spatula. He says; "what ya doin"? She says, you crawled into bed drunk and last thing you said before passing out was "cook my sock".

My cousin has 2 tickets for the 2018 SUPER BOWL, both box seats. He paid $2,500 for each ticket, but he didn't realize last year when he bought them, it was going to be the same day as his wedding. If you are interested, he is looking for someone to take his place...It's at the Temple of God church, in Aurora, IL at 3pm. Her name is Judy McNeal. She is 5'5", about 120 lbs., she's a good cook too...She'll be the one in the white dress. smile emoticon:-)

We would be playing mostly festivals, municipal shows...stuff like that. There are a few club gigs we can play down near the Detroit area. We all live more than a couple hours from each other, so those Detroit gigs will probably be our practices...

Butch, I've got a few buddies that play them...also my Granddad and all his sons played it. I've never had an interest in it myself. Well, I picked up a couple gigs the next 2 weekends and may actually be in a band playing Bass. Wicked good banjo picker (played for jimmy Martin, Bill Monroe, Osborne Bros....) named Dana Cupp, Guitar player is another old friend and has a killer voice. We haven't even officially announced we are a band yet and already got hired today for a great Festival in June.

The fractional reserve system is credit policy...not the money...different things. Your distrust of it is well founded. Of course, so is the distrust of any money based simply on "faith" instead of being backed by something of concrete worth. Manipulation of money has existed since money has. Digitizing it simply speeds up the rate at which it can happen, increasing volatility...same as stock market. It's all speculation at this point...when it starts adversely affecting gov't revenue across the globe we'll see what happens. S. Korea considering moves on cryptocurrency http://www.bbc.com/news/business-42645081 Help me with some clarity here...BC was offered by a guy...people paid the guy to buy it the first time...the guy made millions from nothing to provide an underground currency that can't be traced for taxing purposes, illicit enterprises like drug dealing, human trafficking, money laundering, etc....and it's all under the control of one private person/entity that most likely has a backdoor into the system...is this a real improvement over a traceable monetary system?
