I will be 50 on Saturday....I climb most days....not sure when I will be done....I have only used spurs 5 times for the year for short periods on a pole....On big removals brush is gone without spurs and then in comes a knuckeboom for the wood....so spurs for that....but I sell pruning like a mofo....hey who knows when that time will be...I love climbing and use SRT all day long...with very little DdRT mosly small stuff....

Paul, if you want to learn about pyrolysis and wood gasification, you need to read all doug williams / fluidyne stuff. Be aware that a LOT of money has been sunk into this stuff, probably in the hundreds of millions, with varying degrees of success. You won't do this successfully on the cheap. http://www.fluidynenz.250x.com/ There is a good reason the price tag is expensive on this stuff.

Jim, Turning circle is pretty damn good - slightly reduced due to the large offroad spec tyres. Chris, this is purely for my own treework. I wont even haul for other companies like I used to - no point in helping the competition.

I'll try. Life is kind of busy right now. Thankfully not much to do with this one apart from mounting the crane and body

Took me ages to find this thread. Whilst mostly putting on parties being a superstar djand dressing like an expensive whore, I also occasionally do a bit of work. I finally managed to find exactly the right chassis for my compact grapple truck, a '99 model Iveco in 4x4 rated to pull a 11k kgs trailer. It's a bit of a beast. Sadly I sold the black crane as I was offered money for it and I'm easily bought. Have just bought a really nice Loglift forestry spec crane to go on it so this project is finally go!

We got mentioned on BBC national radio and made it to number 4 on the Gigwise 'new years parties not to miss' out of the whole of the UK. What a blast.
