Hate what CA has become. Anyway. It is not just the immigrants. A lot of it is policy for aid. We still have a rash of folks that are homeless or just plain lost about everything and are under employed. Remember that bubble thingy not so many years ago when real estate crashed and people lost home on bad loans. Yeah, we are still feeling that here. Look up homeless in SF or LA. Plenty of news there. A lot of industry has fled the state as well since it is so expensive to have a business here.

As I recall; you made cash arrangements, had the procedure done and paid it out right, only to receive another bill you had to dispute.

Yup! You have to visit to understand it. Or grow up around it or live there. Some of those streets are beyond steep. They laugh at 8% grades. I bet people blow equipment motors from oil starvation on some of them.

I believe if you really want and need to work, most likely you will find something. May not always be want you know or want .....but. There was one time in MA during the 80s that finding work was extremely difficult for me. I had worked my way up to press operator in a factory. When the factory was purchased by an overseas company, a lot of us lost our jobs. A lot of people lost jobs back then in other areas of mfg. Robotics and computers took some of them. Automation. And there was a recession going on. Less product needed to be mfg. I took the unemployment while I looked. Buggered my toe on a lawn mower and the temp disability helped. Then they had a program to retrain me through the unemployment office after my toe healed. State paid all my wages except .50 per hour by a company willing to train me. I can't remember for how long. But obviously cheaper at min wage for the unemployment insurance and it gave me work and a new trade that paid better later. Not near what I made at the previous factory, but enough for the time coupled with a part time gig I put together for myself. Seemed a good program for the times.

That is how right to work is in AZ. Easier to find another job than get unemployment. I was able to join a plumbers union though. But the shop I worked for was non union. So it was more of a learn here thing, and maybe we can find you work later.

So we had a visitor at our job site today. We were burning a ton of brush, which usually flushes out game for the raptors. In fact, this property and a couple others, they have us and the HOs pegged as food source flusher outers. I was less than 15 feet under this one. Let me walk up and walk all the way around him.

Personal note, I no longer have that medication that had 40% alcohol in an inhaler. I am on 3 other ones to replace it. My meds cost about 500.00 monthly billed out to my insurance. Not counting doctors visits to keep then every 3 months now. Used to be once a month. So. Now other companies get to add to their bottom line

You can still get arrested with out a drop Mick. My breathlizer (spelling?) Came up dirty because of my asthma medicine. I was profiled coming from a bar, pulled over for crossing a shoulder line, which was bull, and told and written up as failing my road side test, which was bull. I had a witness. I went to jail with my blood alcohol level showing .12 for 5 hours. They watched me hit my inhaler at the hospital and denied it. Yeah, simple solution, don't embibe in anything and drive. But lawyers, mfgs of all the gear for DUI tests, and agencies that train law enforcement make tons of money. Private jails make tons of money. The system is set up to break you and place you in the system while adding funds to bottom lines. My little incident cost me thousands with lawyer fees, impounded car, DUI classes, fines, etc. I got off lucky because I pleaded down my charge and won in a sense. No DUI on record unless I screw up. Which ain't gonna happen. People think "the system" makes the money or government. The money goes to those that support the system. Or orbit the system. It employs people and makes things.c

Block chain looks like more of what I can use Drop box for. Drop box here at my place shares files or a data base with 3 computers and a phone. So anyone updating the data base (of which each computer and phone has) automatically updates the other 3 as well. In fact, we can sit down and do data entry on say invoicing all at the same time with different books, adding to the spread sheet (data base file) this way. We can also do that on Google Docs. But Google acts as our data base storage. Google would or a cloud would be more of a block chain. As far as Bit coin. I have a hard time grasping it.

They can decide they think you are under the influence and you go to jail. Then you can have a negative test you still get to defend in court costing you thousands. Here is an example of what can and does go on. https://youtu.be/gWyzPpYslYc <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/gWyzPpYslYc" frameborder="0" gesture="media" allow="encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe>

So used to paying high dollar in CA, a handle set would hardly be a deal breaker for me. I was real lucky on mine at the price. Me an one of the guys with a Python were playing with shots at 250 yard the other day. He is a pro shooter and I kept up pretty good with him. I had the longer barrel and hotter loads though.

Damn John, I hope you feel better soon. Justin, that oak was a crane removal over and next to an old shop. There was metal all down through that tree from 20' down. I would scan it quick with the metal detector wand to find a place to cut it. Power, phone, lights, cable....fencing. damn thing. A neighbor stopped by while I was lighting it. Was like, he'll man, can I have that oak? I told him sure! I hope you have a lot of chain! He passed.

That is a light that was attached to the tree and the tree ate it. So rather than take a Sawzall to the thing, let the fire separate them. I use a weed torch to light the fires with propane. Keeps the nasty oil and gas out of our little run off and out of neighboring ponds.

Granted, I have a set up at home, but I am working on it present, so it is not all set up at the moment. Also, it is not covered, where as at the range, rain is no biggie since we shoot from a covered area. Out to 285 yards current. They are talking a 1000 yard range. But it is in the works. The range is on a cattle ranch and we have to work an agreement out with the owners.

It is a membership range. I am a member through our local Fish & Game club. I can bring guests though, and guests are welcome by their own volition. So they pay a non membership day pass if visiting. We have trap, pistol and rifle set up. Out doors.
