I'd let it go for $25k :D. Actually, the condition I have it in now, and the way they are appreciating in value recently, that's not a totally stupid price. Only somewhat stupid :D.

Well, to add insult to injury.... Lilly was told to go out side and play today by momma and I guess she started throwing rocks... Katy now needs a new windshield.

I bet I average a new windshield every 3 years or so, between the Forester and the Tundra. Been lucky with the Jag, so far :).

I don't think lightning either. I have seen similar damage on Douglas fir that have been climbed in the spring when the sap is running and the bark is loose. Boots cause it, by friction. Seems fairly unlikely in general, but that's my observation, fwiw :).

Mellow, my comms with Bermy are lagging behind, so let me finalize them. Once done there, we can visit in detail. Thanks for your interest and patience.

So this week , it turns out, I need a 13/16ths by 60" ship auger bit for a cabling job. Tree Stuff was out of stock. Most everyone I looked up was or quite a wait. Low and behold, Sherrill has one in stock. Hmmm I think. I wonder how they will do. Pull the trigger. 2 days, no e mail confirmation of shipping or tracking number. SO I call this morning. They say they have shipped. Told them I never got an e mail or tracking number. Rep apologised, never offered a tracking number, and I never got a follow up e mail.... Hope the damn thing shows up tomorrow.

I've seen horse logging turn a damp place to a mud pit in a just a few turns...just saying it isn't always that easy on the land, ime. The pounds per square inch for a horse hoof is way higher than most machines. But it is a totally cool way to log. I loved working with the few outfits we had on the NF here.

Came up off the road... Kicked up from a truck in front of me. Been about 3-4 hits now. I lost count. Just finally said, well, lets just start new.

You've got to be kidding! That shouldn't be possible. What you should have done was round over the rim. That would have made the bowl look better IMO. Still, Damned good job for a beginner. If you need some advice about which type bowl gouge to get, PM me.

I've done horse logging. Today it takes extreme terrain to be any where near profitable, and will only be so, if there isn't a chopper or high line outfit near by. Nice work, though, if you are not logging to scale.
