Haha. I'll have you know we have had the great burning orb in the sky recently. Wake up to Jack Frost and his pals. Fresh cloudless skies and about -2*C. BUT I get what you mean. Normally it is wet and damp here. The sort of cold that gets to your bones even though it actually isn't that far down on the scale.

Jamie, do you have a link to a vid (i am sure you posted it) or information on how to go about tuning the Akimbo. I seem to remember the video saying adjust the top first till it runs up and down and then adjust the bottom...? Am I right? Cant wait to get ahold of mine. Thanks.

I have to disagree to an extent. Of the few I have used, great tool but i see people being complacent with them. No Noise seems to dull there senses somewhat to realising what is actually in there hands. I have also found that if you forget the chain break or it gets knocked and released when moving saws about and one touch of the trigger get the chain spinning. It has happened to me a few times when the scabbard has been on as I have been loading and unloading kit.

Sounds an awesome oppertunity. A bit of forethought and planning and I reckon it'll be a buzz. Do it whilst you can.

Idepending on the tree I one hand a fair bit. It tends to be an on the spot decision based on what I need the wood to do. A few years ago I had pretty bad tennis elbow. Probably from one handing the 200 all the time. I made an effort to two hand the saw wereever possible. Tennis elbow cleared up. I took two things from that. 1 one handing a saw puts more strain on ligaments, tendons and muscles. 2 I bought a 150, had it timed and modded. Makes one handing much easier. ;)

I would have said it was a Silver birch or an Aspen. Mushy tree either way. What killed it? Possible disturbance with the roots? Edit: looks Poplar on second glance.

Yup I expect to pay for International shipping, but it would be great to not have to pay import tax... In a way we help to fund a project, it is t like we are purchasing from a retailer. It just so happens that the manufacturer now he is up and running, has sent a little something in the post as a thank you.

Thanks for the info. When they are sent out will they be sent as gift to the UK? Might help avoid any additional taxes. ;)

Might seem like a daft question but I am not that up on terminology. What's the purpose of clear anodising? I always thought it was to put colour onto things.

Saw pants for me every day. Granted it is a lot cooler climate over here in U.K. Technology is making these things lighter. I am a pfanner man myself. On my 6th pair. One plus for them is you can buy the regular sizes and get +7's for the taller tree cutter. I have the Arborist trousers in type c and type a. Type c today.
