Fixed. She had me crown raise an oak over the carport as well. Been a few years since I had done it. Wind was making it scrape the metal roof. Everything fit in the dump trailer for chipping into our garden. Had I brought the chipper, it would have been two trucks instead of one. As it was, she had us rake all the leaves. Her and the hubby used to just let the deer handle the raking. He passed, so she's the boss.

Dodged a bullet yesterday. Had a low tire on the chipper the other day and I had been meaning to change it out. Tread a tad worn from the weight of the chipper being heavier on one side than the other. Seems so anyway. So I pre-ordered a tire so as to have it done whilst I had to make a trip to the ranching store with tractor supplies about an hour away. Pulled the tire and wow! The whole inside side wall was split just short of catastrophic failure. Got new tire and I figured for good measure, a dust cap had gone missing, new bearings and grease and do a brake inspection. Shoes were falling apart. Like chunks gone. Still had shoe left, but shat. So new brake plates ..... That could have ended poorly.

This.. Sean, keep an eye out on craigs list. I see Lincoln and Miller stick welders come up all the time for 200-250 Torch sets about the same or around 300.00. Taint rocket science.

Might have dislodged a bearing or sumptin :/: Wow Jim... Thats cool. Katy would love a trough like that. But we don't need anything that big, Down to a couple horses now.... Rabbits and Chickens. Feeder calf sold and gone after his momma died. Katy got rid of the goats after the prized one died. Ahh the life of having live stock.

Thanks Bermy I was hoping you would chime in. I think so far I have done a pretty thorough inspection. It appears that lethal yellowing is likely the cause by a plant hopper. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Mark Tournier 20 hrs Wondering what killed this Washingtonia Palm Tree? Location: These trees are located in Southern Louisiana. They are in the backyard that faces the North. The tree that is dead is on the Southern side of living tree. There is total of five Palms trees in this location that surround a goldfish pond. History: Pond was there when palms were planted. Approximately 1 1/2 years ago the liner to Goldfish pond was replaced. The reason for replacement was due to the old one have a leak. The new liner that was installed also wrapped around dead tree covering some of the root system. (See second picture) Besides the installation of the new liner No excavation had been done in that area since trees were planted.. While visiting my friend who lives nextdoor in Spring I noticed the palm had in question only had a few green fronds at the top that wasn?t as green as the other fronds on trees next to it. By early summer the tree appeared to be dead with only a couple of fronds still standing. the Smith?s told me they noticed it dropping dead fronds excessively within a couple weeks to a month in July. Observations: While taking soil samples (which I haven?t sent off yet) I noticed the liner to the pond had been installed around the dead tree. The liner wasn?t quite choking the tree but it was within 6 inches of the base. This is a waterproof liner. Also Ms Smith was wondering about white splotches on bark which is circled in yellow. Weather history: Last fall/winter only had approximately 4 or 5 freezes around 30 degrees F with long periods of above normal temps in the 80?s. This summer was One of the wettest on record. Anyway sorry this is so long and thanks in advance for any help! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  1. Rope armour is who I was saying hello to. This other new fella chimed in and stated he was new here at the exact moment I was typing my greeting to Thomas, so it looks like I was addressing him but actually I was still saying hi to RopeArmour.
