Something that has occured to me is that accents do not come across in text on these message boards. You may or may not get a kick out of this list, but it will prepare you if you ever take a trip here.

One thing they forgot to include was the fact that a true Boston accent is laced with expletives unless you are in church or talking to your mother....Enjoy

guideline. I hope you will consider coming to 'Beantown' in the near
future. For those who call New England home, this is just plain great
Information on Boston and the surrounding area:
>
> There's no school on School Street, no court on Court Street, no dock on
Dock Square, no water on Water Street. Back Bay streets are in alphabetical
'oddah': Arlington, Berkeley, Clarendon, Dartmouth, etc. So are South
Boston streets: A, B, C, D, etc. If the streets are named after trees (
e.g. Walnut, Chestnut, Cedar), you're on Beacon Hill. If they're named
after poets, you're in Wellesley. Massachusetts Ave is Mass Ave;
Commonwealth Ave is Comm Ave; South Boston is Southie. The South End is
the South End. East Boston is Eastie. The North End is east of the former
West End. The West End and Scollay Square are no more; a guy named
Rappaport got rid of them one night. Roxbury is The Burry, Jamaica Plain is
J.P.

I imagine yours is pretty distinct as well.....

Actually had lunch with a guy from 'norleans yesterday. We ordered oyster po boys. All he could say was, "this ain't a po boy" Tasted good to me though.

That "r" reaahs it's ugly head on the ends of words like pizzar (peez er) and arear (aree er).

I think Rt. 3 gets mixed up in that mess somewhere too.

I know the guy and cant figger out otg unless its on the ground "maybe no" (chillie guy)

Ya forgot....

Only Bostonians use "the deck" to tell you which direction they're going. If you're on the "upper deck", you're going north. The "lower deck" is for going south. (Yeah I know, most of that is gone now.)

Stopping to take a pizz off the upper deck may be pissah with yer buds, but will probably get you in deep with the finest.

Pier fishing in Boston means you're cleaning the harbor of debris. (Anyone who has ever tried to fish off of Long Wharf will agree.)

Hahvad is about an hour away from Harvard.

If Bib Papi drops a long bomb, you can almost catch it from the Pike.

Odds of getting robbed in 'Bury are about as good as that of picking up a hooker.

The Subway in Medfid Square won't take you to Bahston.

OTG, I miss living there sometimes, but the fresh country air here is nice too. You'll have to come out sometime, if ya ever need a break from the Bean.

Probably because I was an Air Force brat. Before we lived in this town, we lived in Japan, and Texas before that. I've been told I have west coast type of accent, and that's probably true.

I DO say ya'll!

actually I remember a 'howdy y'all' video you put up a few years back MB and I remember that your accent wasnt what I expected from a southern fella.

The Red Sox equipment truck left for FL yesterday morning.

Go Sox.

Pics from an emergency call last week. Not a big deal. Small hanger, but it shows the type of conditions we typically work in.
