A few months ago I posted pics of this nectarine with peach leaf curl, asking what to do. Someone suggested plucking the leaves and mulching heavily.

Here's what it looks like now. I'm wondering if the problem is solved or will it just reappear next spring.

Hi Mate.
New here but am the Senior Horticultural Agronomist for a large agricultural company in Australia. I also just happen to have an after hours chainsaw and tree felling business and have recently become a member here.
There has been a lot of Peach Leaf Curl showing up in our region this season due to early rains and unusually bad weather conditions (such as our entire average annual rainfall in one month!).
As mentioned the best prevention method is copper at Pink Bud however Propiconazole can also help. The disease in my area showed up after the copper spray was worthwhile this season on a few patches of young Apricots and Propiconazole (ie: Tilt 250EC in Australia) had a good result.
You'll never get rid of it, you just have to manage it.
Hope that helps but if unchecked it can actually kill young trees.
Matt :)
