I pretty much echo your thoughts Justin. I would add that I'd rather read a true history as opposed to one crafted by only the winners though.

I am getting the same thing Butch. Google warns me that the site may be hacked and if I google the site and click on a result to come here I am mostly redirected to that filestore site. Than if I back up quickly and click the result/link again it goes through proper. If I don't back out of that filestore site quickly it locks up and wants me to click this or that and I have to close the page to get out. Only happens with this site.

At $10 a yard you would need to sell 3,000 yards to recoup your 30k investment NOT including fuel, teeth, bearings, grease, and support machinery (read an additional $10-20k per year). The guy by us that tub grinds charges around 4k a day but has around $1,100 in over head a day, mostly fuel. It's something to think about. I would think realistically you are going to be in the 100k + range even for modest tub grinding.

I just recieved this message from Evan Sussman at FaceBook... Hi Butch, lately the treehouse has been redirecting to some "myfilestore.com" only the first time I try to visit the site. If I type in the URL again it goes to the homepage. I thought you might like to know. Is anyone else having this problem?

I suppose if the end product is something I can resell, even at just $10 a yard to gardeners, then over the years you could recoup a lot of the cost!

Hell yah. I've landed myself in some uncomfortable conversations over the years with that same attitude. Up here we're all Canadians IMO and the past is the past. Deal with it. Everyone should be treated as equals IMO, and if a culture can't sustain itself(thinking of the natives here in particular) then it becomes known as history and should be studied in school, while the world moves on.

I think a person should build a slight taper to the box, flaring toward the rear. Is it worth all that extra driving and messing with setting up to shoot from the chipper to the dump trailer in order to not unload those chips manually? You have a second guy ( 2 drivers). Paying him an hour's wages might be cheaper on days like this. https://loadhandler.com/lh3000.php What do you think your full expense is for a second truck and trailer? https://loadhandler.com/lh3000.php No replacement for a dump bed... Just a different tool. A hand saw is way better in some applications than a chainsaw, however it is not a replacement, just a different tool. Takes up no space. It will pay for itself in a bit.

30k isn't scary, have you seen the price of a new chipper now that's scary. I think for what you will spend on a tub grinder, used, would equate to many years of delivered compost.
