The old GRCS bar makes a pretty good stick if need be, mine lays beside a machete behind the drivers seat Guns are pretty uncommon here compared to the states, must be nice to know you could control almost any situation should it arise. In all honesty though, its also pretty nice to know that you are unlikely to be shot at...

Wow, such a good haul there plus the sharks you cut loose, must have been an adventure.

Jim you can have a max of two sharks per vessel. I'm not a fan of shark meat so we rarely keep one. Cory, I think the bull sharks are there because of the relatively shallow water. Even though we were 100 miles offshore we were only in 120 feet of water. The area we fished rises up out of much deeper water and the bottom is covered with rock outcrops, coral, sea fans and the like. Water clarity there is phenomenal. I'm not a scuba guy, but if I was, it would definitely be a spot to dive.

A few years back Baileys had loops of their"house brand" which was Carlton on sale for about 10 dollars for a 72 driver loop .I bought 5 and it was and is the worst stuff I ever used .Stihl chain is probably the best stuff for longevity but it's not immune to rocks metal etc .The again being Stihl it's a dealer only type of thing . Other than one 24" loop of .404 by .063 loop for one of my antiques the only stuff I've bought were loops for my two Stihl 200T trim sales .They are around 20 bucks for 14" loop and due to the fact I don't use the little saws professionally they last me a good long while . It's been so long since I've bought any chain that I have no idea these days what the prices are .

I'm guessing Ray doesn't want to keep sharks (bulls and lemons anyway) cuz the meat isn't highly desirable and he's definitely not the type of guy to 'fin' a shark. Wow, bull sharks- they must be a beast on the end of the line!! I'm no shark expert but I'm a lil surprised you caught bulls way out there in the middle of nowhere, I woulda thought they are much more prevalent near-shore in shallower water.

I use 'grave before shave' maybe once a week or two. Good stuff, helps keep eczema down in the winter (dry high desert climate). I'm actually in Micks camp regarding product, but it seems to help...

Hmmm.....I cant say I can remember seeing a UK type on TV with a beard. Hell, even Shackleton was shaved up most of the time in photos.

Beards are very fashionable here. More so than I can ever remember. I couldn't envisage using "product" on mine. Defeats the object a bit.

Situational awareness is key. I could be walking down the street armed like Rambo, but if I an in condition white...........even old Stig could get the drop on me. Thank god I have never had to shoot anyone. Been close a couple of times. Had a gal tell me one time that she and her friends were going to shoot me for trespassing. I told her to get after it. I was serious....she was only sort of serious.

Yeah, why arent the UK types more prone to growing a beard? I am not really supposed to have any facial hair besides a short mustache.....might interfere with the seal on a SCBA.
